  • Funeral Director & Embalmer, Friends Funeral Service - Winnipeg, MB

    Friends Funeral Service is a family owned and operated funeral home in Winnipeg, Manitoba. We offer traditional earth burial, memorial, graveside, and cremation services to families in Winnipeg and surrounding rural communities and serve all churches and cemeteries. We are currently seeking a FULL-TIME licensed funeral director & embalmer to join our team. 


    Successful candidates will be required to:

    • Have a valid Manitoba Funeral Director & Embalmer License
    • Arrange, coordinate and direct funeral ceremonies
    • Prepare and embalm decedents 
    • Be familiar with various religious and fraternal funeral rites and customs
    • Manage multiple tasks and work independently as well as part of a team
    • Have excellent communication skills both written and verbal
    • Have professional appearance and demeanour
    • Have a valid driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract
    • Have excellent attention to detail
    • Work competently on a computer with various programs
    • Demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service

    Highland Funeral Home, Markham Chapel located in Markham, Ontario is currently recruiting for a full-time Funeral Director.


    The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    • Arranges, coordinates and directs funeral ceremonies.
    • Meets and surpasses the needs and expectations of the families we serve.
    • Maintains active involvement within the community and is committed to building and establishing effective relationships and rapport.
    • Supports the Funeral Service Department’s vision of technology integration by understanding the role technology plays in the funeral home’s success.
    • Can perform transfers and embalmings independently.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required for this role:

    • Possesses a Funeral Directors license and has experience as a licensed Funeral Director. 
    • Displays proven arranging, directing and embalming skills.
    • Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team.
    • Excellent attention to detail and consistently high level of accuracy.
    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; verbal, written and presentation.
    • Demonstrated strong customer service skills with the ability to partner will all levels of the organization.

    Regina Funeral Home located in Regina, Saskatchewan, is currently recruiting for a full-time Licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer. Consideration would be given to an individual who is currently enrolled in a recognized Funeral Service Program.


    We are a full-service provider located on the grounds of our cemetery and with a crematorium onsite.
