Lorne Palmer Educational Bursary

Lorne Palmer was born and raised in Saskatchewan in 1943 and began his career in the funeral profession in 1970, becoming a Licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer in 1972. Known as a man of deep character, integrity, kindness, generosity, and commitment to not only the families he serves but also to his colleagues. He is the consummate team player who has mentored countless new professionals throughout his career of fifty plus years. Since 1990 he has been a deeply valued member of Speers Funeral Home in Regina, Saskatchewan. To honour his life and legacy of service, owners of Anthem Partners have collaborated with the Funeral Service Association of Canada to establish the Lorne Palmer Educational Bursary. This initiative aims to support the involvement of next-generation deathcare professionals (under 40 or in the first five years of their career) and individuals from historically underrepresented groups attending FSAC’s educational events.
